Amcor in Tacoma is seeking an Inspector/Packer to quickly and efficiently pack quality bottles off our extrusion blow molding lines while prioritizing safety. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and starts at $19.50 per hour, with full-time hours typical for this hourly position.

Responsibilities include reading packing instructions, inspecting containers for defects, completing daily inspection paperwork, preparing supplies for the machine, and packing items into correct packaging.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and take direction in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsabilités

• Make safety #1 priority
• Read packing instructions for assigned station
• Inspect plastic containers/parts for defects
• Complete daily inspection paperwork
• Make supplies for machine and keep up with demand throughout the shift
• Pack quality parts into correct packaging
• Label and stack boxes, bags or bulk units
• Maintain an organized and clean packing environment
• Flexible to help out line workers and others when time permits
• Promotes safety by following all plant safety rules and reports violations and unsafe practices to shift or department leader(s)
• Promotes GMP policy and product safety
• Communicate and cooperate with other employees in a positive and constructive manner to achieve the goals of the department
• Other duties as assigned.
