Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a production/packaging operator to read specifications, monitor machines, and ensure quality throughout the line. You will remove finished items, identify rejects, and report issues to supervision while maintaining packaging supplies and workspace organization.

Responsibilities include inspection, stacking, wrapping for shipment, and final product checks. This role requires quick, precise movements and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong (recognizing issues such as jams).
• Ability to see details at close range (color and defect detection).
• Ability to match or detect differences between colors and contamination.
• Ability to coordinate precise hand/arm movements to handle small parts.
• Ability to quickly bend, stretch, twist, or reach.
• Oral comprehension and written comprehension of packaging documents.

Responsibilities

• Read packaging documents to determine product specifications.
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards.
• Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separate rejected items.
• Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
• Stock and sort products for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies.
• Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
• Monitor the production line for hazards and jams.
• Stack finished packaged items and wrap/protect them for shipping.
• Record operational data such as finished and rejected packaged items.
• Package products for shipment (e.g., per pallet quantities).
• Assemble corrugated shipping containers, trays, and boxes.
• Perform final inspection of product (de-nest, count).
