Job summary

Orthodent Laboratory in Buffalo, NY, part of the Specialty Appliances family, is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure finished orthodontic appliances meet prescriptions and internal quality standards. You will inspect products, document inspections, and release orders for shipment under the guidance of the Quality Manager.

The ideal candidate has prior quality inspection experience or a strong eye for detail, good hand-eye coordination, and solid English communication.

• Prior quality inspection experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and careful workmanship.
• Good hand-eye coordination and clear communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Interpret orthodontic prescriptions and evaluate appliance quality in accordance with the Doctor’s design.
• Assess and ensure product quality standards are met within assigned areas; understand and apply quality requirements, procedures, and work instructions.
• Verify required paperwork is correct and complete a final product inspection per approved standards to release order for shipment.
• Record rework and communicate details effectively with technicians to resolve product discrepancies while maintaining positive working relationships.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively across departments, including customer service.
• Support Quality Department with implementation of procedures on the floor.
• Assist with training other employees, as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
