Job summary

STU Incorporated in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Inspector to ensure product characteristics, packaging, and labels meet quality standards. The Safe Launch may also require repacking or reworking parts under supervision.

This full-time, on-site role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, accurate data entry into the Plex system, and collaboration with operators and the shift supervisor to maintain defect-free production.

Qualifications

• Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with your hands.
• Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to determine if a part meets quality requirements.
• Ability to fill out forms and labels accurately and neatly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow Operators, support staffs and the Shift Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Inspection of product for any designated defects arising from molding or assembly process.
• Inspection of the packaging used for shipping the product.
• Inspection of labels used to identify the product.
• Packaging of the part, or re-packing of parts from one type of container to another
• Reworking of parts that do not meet acceptance criteria.
• Completion of the production forms and labels required for the job.
• Support manufacturing group as required, such as relieving and/or assigned to production processes.
• Enter data into Plex system as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Other assignments as designated by the Shift Supervisor.
