Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking a Quality Inspector to monitor and verify quality per specifications and control procedures.

The role involves visual and dimensional inspections of components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure customer requirements are met. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma with 2 years in plastics or medical device assembly, be proficient with Word/Excel, and familiar with inspection equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of plastics industry experience, clean room/medical device assembly.
• Knowledge of inspection methods and inspection equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of received, in-process, and finished components, subassemblies, and products.
• Aid in completing inspection of product per predefined methods, to verify product quality meets customer specifications.
• Provide information regarding product quality and conformance to specification to manufacturing team.
• Assist Quality, Engineering and Production teams in investigations of process related quality issues.
• Work with production to resolve Quality issues and verify documentation is complete.
• Maintain required information systems regarding quality, inspection reports, equipment maintenance, calibration logs and non-conforming material reports.
• Assist in completion of GR&R studies, capability studies and other inspection reports, employee evaluations and review process.
• Other duties as assigned.
