Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify products meet specifications through visual and dimensional inspections. You will support manufacturing with quality data and assist in investigations of process-related issues.

The role requires knowledge of inspection methods and equipment, experience in plastics/medical device environments, and proficiency with Word and Excel. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years in plastics/medical device assembly.
• Knowledge of assembly inspection methods and inspection equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of components, subassemblies and products.
• Assist inspection per predefined methods to verify quality meets customer specs.
• Provide information on product quality and conformance to specification to manufacturing team.
• Assist QA, Engineering and Production in investigations of process-related quality issues.
• Work with production to resolve quality issues and verify documentation.
• Maintain information systems for quality, inspection reports, equipment maintenance, calibration logs and non-conforming material reports.
• Assist in GR&R and capability studies and other inspection reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
