Job summary

SQA Services in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Quality Inspector Level 2 for first or second shift on a full-time basis. You will perform detailed inspections of components and materials to verify conformance with drawings and specifications, using precision instruments and borescopes.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years of inspection experience, strong GD&T and reading drawings skills, and ITAR compliance. A background check is required. This role supports critical supplier quality across industries.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.

• Hands on experience with borescopes.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions preferred.
• Must be ITAR compliant and able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials to verify conformance with engineering drawings and specs.
• Operate precision measuring instruments including borescopes to inspect tubes and other parts.
• Identify workmanship issues and product defects, such as burrs, scratches, fasteners, or edge distance problems.
• Identify nonconformities and ensure corrective actions or rework are completed.
• Verify shipping documentation accuracy, including part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destinations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases (including in-process, final, and first article) to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such borescopes to do inspections on tubes.
• Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
• Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have beenproperly executed.
• Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
• Hands on experience with borescopes.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions preferred
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must be ITAR compliant.

$29 - $32 an hour
