Job summary

SQA Services is hiring a Quality Inspector Level 2 in Hawthorne, CA. You will support first or second shift on a full-time basis, performing thorough inspections of components and materials to ensure conformance with drawings and specs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience, reading manufacturing drawings, and familiarity with borescopes and GD&T. Background checks and ITAR compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
• Hands on experience with borescopes.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions preferred.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must be ITAR compliant.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases to verify compliance with drawings and specs.
• Operate precision measuring instruments such borescopes to inspect tubes.
• Identify workmanship issues and product defects such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, and edge problems.
• Identify nonconformities and verify corrective actions or rework have been completed.
• Review shipping documentation to confirm part numbers, serials, notices, and destinations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and physical—on components, assemblies, and raw materials throughout various production phases (including in-process, final, and first article) to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Operate and utilize precision measuring instruments such borescopes to do inspections on tubes.
• Apply sharp visual inspection skills to identify workmanship issues and product defects, including damage such as burrs, scratches, loose fasteners, dings, and inadequate edge distances.
• Identify and categorize nonconformities and confirm that corrective actions or rework have beenproperly executed.
• Receiving shipping documentation for accuracy, confirming part numbers, serial numbers, change notices, and destination data are correct.

$28 - $32 an hour
