Job summary

PurposeBuilt Brands Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure finished products and raw materials meet quality control standards. You will interact with production, purchasing, and shipping departments to resolve quality issues and document findings.

Responsibilities include inspecting raw materials, testing finished products, training staff on procedures, and archiving quality records. The role is onsite in Manchester, TN, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to perform all tasks while continuously standing
• Good math skills
• Good communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• Good computer skills - Excel, Word
• Previous Laboratory chemical testing experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of raw materials and outsourced products that require inspection.
• Document defective raw material and outsourced product findings and communicate quality issues to Supply chain, working to resolve the quality issue.
• Check the filling line before each production run to ensure that all correct packaging materials are in the filling area prior to production.
• Filling line was cleaned and validated (if required)
• Inspect quality of finished products for fill weight, heat seal, color and odor, lot number, application and torque, general appearance, pallet configurations, and other items.
• Document quality control findings.
• Review daily production batch records
• Archiving of production records and associated quality documents
• Train production personnel on quality procedures
• Work with the production department to resolve quality issues associated with finished products
• Perform detailed quality control inspection of first runs of new products
• When necessary, inspect, sample, and test raw materials, packaging components, labels, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality specifications as established by Quality and Compliance and R&D.
• Test chemical solutions and finished products as necessary to ensure they meet quality and specification requirements.
