Job summary

PPG Quality in Williamston, SC is hiring a Quality Inspector to support manufacturing operations. The role combines hands-on inspection on the production floor with office-based quality documentation, reporting to the Quality Manager.

Shifts: 1st shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with pay rates of $15.50 hourly temporary and $16.50 hourly upon permanent hire. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, comfortable with computers and data entry, able to meet daily production and quality goals, and willing to

• Ability to perform quality inspections, measurements, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect manufactured products and perform routine quality checks.
• Conduct measurements and testing to verify product quality.
• Accurately enter inspection results and maintain quality records.
• Assist in creating and updating work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide daily operational and administrative support to the Quality Manager.
• Work approximately 50% in an office environment and 50% on the production floor.
• Meet established daily production and quality goals.
• Operate a forklift as required, with appropriate training and authorization.
• Follow all written instructions, safety policies, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
