Job summary

Komatsu Longview Operations is seeking a Quality Inspector to support loader assembly. You will perform thorough inspections at receiving, in-process, and final stages, using precision tools and drawings to ensure conformity.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration across teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates bring at least two years of inspection experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read technical documents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in inspection or machining environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience or background in fabrication and welding is an advantage.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze a variety of documents with detail.
• Self-motivated with organized multitasking under deadlines.
• Mathematical calculations involving proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Hands-on experience with micrometers, calipers, and precision tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications for conformity.
• Knowledge of standard receiving, in-process, and final inspection methods.
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Preferred: SNT-TC-1A Level II in VT/MT/UT; experience with powered industrial trucks.
• Familiarity with NDT methods (MT, VT, UT, UTT, AUT, RT, PT, BLT).
• Preferred proficiency in Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing.

Responsibilities

• Champion workplace safety by following all protocols and promoting safety culture.
• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections per drawings and work instructions.
• Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and rulers for dimensional checks.
• Prepare NCRs, NDT reports, and calibration logs for QA records.
• Review technical documents to ensure procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support production goals and address issues.
• Maintain calibration integrity of inspection tools through routine checks.
• Continuously monitor and improve inspection processes for efficiency and quality.
