Job summary

ITW in Hebron, OH is seeking a Quality Inspector to audit and inspect products across First Article, In-Process, Incoming, and Final inspections. You will read blueprints, use calipers, micrometers, and other tools, and ensure conformance to ISO 13485 and ISO 14001.

You should have a high school diploma, at least 1 year in a related role, and strong math, communication, and teamwork skills. This role emphasizes continuous improvement, accurate reporting, and safe, efficient manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of job-related experience.
• Basic math skills to use scales and measure weights.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Audit and monitor quality requirements per QA policies.
• Conduct inspections at First Article, In-Process, Incoming and Final Inspections.
• Perform routine testing per specifications for QA and Assembly.
• Identify nonconforming material and initiate nonconforming reports.
• Communicate quality concerns with management and shop floor.
• Use inspection tools to measure parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and process docs.
• Provide input on inspection methods for improvements.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits.
• Conduct Process Control Plan Audits.
• Assist with defect investigations.
• Complete accurate inspection reports.
• Organize work and storage areas.
• Perform basic math and conversions.
• Follow ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Complete release/hold documentation.
