Job summary

Cargill Minnesota facility is seeking a production worker for overnight rotating shifts to monitor and record quality checks, audits, and safety programs while ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.

You will perform pre-operational inspections, monitor product quality, and maintain records using a computer. Join a team focused on continuous improvement and strict safety compliance in varied indoor/outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to perform physical duties up to 50 lbs safely.
• Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions with PPE.
• Ability to work in elevated areas.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
• High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform and record monitoring activities, process verifications, and audits across the facility.
• Monitor and enforce plant food safety programs.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and quality monitoring of product and processes.
• Document and maintain records using a computer.
• Audit supplies to maintain inventory and improve procedures.
• Collaborate with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement.

Compensation: $21.00 - $25.00 /hr depending on experience

A Typical Work Day May Include:

• Accurately perform and record monitoring activities, process verifications, and audits throughout the facility including raw material audits, documenting deviations and/or recording corrective actions taken
• Monitoring and enforcing all plant specific and corporate food safety programs
• Performing pre-operational inspections and along with performing quality monitoring of product and processes
• Documenting and maintaining record keeping utilizing a computer as necessary
• Auditing supplies to maintain inventory and designing and implementing new procedures and/or techniques
• Interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
• Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic use of a computer
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
• High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience

What will put you ahead:

• Prior experience in production and or similar military environment
• Associates Degree in Science related field
• Prior Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience
• Prior knowledge of Pet Food manufacturing
