Job summary

Cargill is hiring for a production role in Minnesota. This full-time position operates on overnight rotating shifts. You will monitor and audit facility processes, ensure food safety programs, perform pre-operational inspections, and maintain records.

Candidates must be US work authorized and meet physical requirements; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Weekend/holidays may be required. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid vacation and holidays, FSAs,

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to perform physical duties includinglifting up to 50 lbs and climbing
• Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions with PPE
• English communication skills (verbal/written)
• High school diploma or 2 years equivalent work experience

• Monitor and enforce plant food safety programs

Compensation: $21.00 - $25.00 /hr depending on experience

A Typical Work Day May Include:

• Accurately perform and record monitoring activities, process verifications, and audits throughout the facility including raw material audits, documenting deviations and/or recording corrective actions taken
• Monitoring and enforcing all plant specific and corporate food safety programs
• Performing pre-operational inspections and along with performing quality monitoring of product and processes
• Documenting and maintaining record keeping utilizing a computer as necessary
• Auditing supplies to maintain inventory and designing and implementing new procedures and/or techniques
• Interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
• Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned

What You Will Need:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic use of a computer
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
• High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience

What will put you ahead:

• Prior experience in production and or similar military environment
• Associates Degree in Science related field
• Prior Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience
• Prior knowledge of Pet Food manufacturing
