Job summary

Hyosung HICO in Memphis, TN is seeking an Associate Quality Inspector to perform in-process inspections during manufacturing, ensuring that parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies meet exact specifications. The role emphasizes documenting nonconformances promptly and collaborating with production to identify root causes.

You will use inspection tools and instruments to measure and test materials, shadow senior inspectors to deepen transformer knowledge, and support 6S and safety practices daily.

Qualifications

• Perform in-process inspections to determine quality of parts, assemblies and sub-assemblies.
• Document nonconformances within manufacturing processes and products.
• Notify production supervisors of production problems and assist in solving them.
• Operate inspections using tools, equipment, and instruments and compare results to specifications.
• Observe and monitor production operations to ensure conformance and make adjustments as needed.
• Shadow senior inspectors to learn transformer knowledge and participate in training.
• Practice 6S and adhere to safety rules and working practices.
• Prepare parts or transformers for inspection and setup inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, test (chemical analysis), or measure materials, products for conformance to specifications
• Handling documented information from quality department (NCR, inspection/test reports)
• Notify production supervisors of production problems and assist in correcting them
• Perform inspections using tools, equipment, and instruments and record results
• Observe and monitor production operations to ensure process and product conformance
• Job shadow more senior inspectors to learn transformer knowledge
• Participate in any training to enhance inspection skills
• Practice 6S and adhere to safety guidelines
• Prepare and execute parts or transformers for inspection and set up a safe environment
• Use inspection/test procedures to evaluate electrical and mechanical performance of each transformer unit
