Job summary

Century Fasteners Corporation in Raleigh, NC seeks a QUALITY INSPECTOR III (SUPERVISOR) to lead a team of QC inspectors, ensure compliance with AS9100/AS9120 and ISO 9001, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. This is a full-time role reporting to the Quality Control Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QC or QA experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or cGMP standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data analysis tools.
• Ability to manage and mentor a QC team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor QC Inspectors of various levels.
• Train inspectors to follow documented procedures.

Salary Range: $26.00 To $29.00 Hourly

Position Overview:

A Quality Control Supervisor oversees daily quality control operations, leads QC Inspector staff, implements inspection/testing procedures, resolves non‑conformances, and ensures compliance with standards such as AS9100 / AS9120, other regulatory requirements, customer requirements and company procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervises and mentors a team of Quality Control Inspectors of various levels
• Conducts training of new and existing inspectors to follow documented procedures
• Oversee and completes inspections of materials and finished goods to the specifications outlined on the order.
• Provide guidance on interpretation of drawings, specifications, standards, and expectations per Material Classification codes.
• Document and manage nonconforming materials and coordinate rework.
• Lead investigations of non‑conformances, deviations, OOS results, and customer complaints. Coordination and review completion of customer PPAP, FAI and portal work
• Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results
• Interfaces with the enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool to move material
• Coordination and management of the calibration program at their specific site
• Identify areas for improvement activities

Counsels the Quality Control Manager for:

• Quality workload
• Supplier issues and trends
• Inspection plans and trends
• Product conformity issues
• Certification issues
• Calibrated equipment issues

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
• 3+ years of QC or QA experience
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, cGMP, AS9100, or industry‑specific standards
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data analysis tools
• Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and being detail oriented
• Ability to manage a team
• Must meet vision and color blindness standards, verified by medical documentation. New hires must pass an eye test before starting employment, and retesting occurs annually

Other Skills/Abilities:

• Experience using various precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and thread gauges.
• Ability to lift 45 lbs.
