Groe Advisors LLC in Woburn, MA is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to help manage our ISO-9001 Quality Management System. You will sign all incoming materials and ensure compliance with QMS procedures.

Responsibilities include reviewing packing lists, documenting certifications in the ERP system, inspecting stock items, and stopping work when a quality issue is found. You will work with manufacturing to maintain product quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, geometric tolerances and measuring instruments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, supply chain or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow QMS inspection instructions including electrical tests, dimensional accuracy, pressure and flow requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Pair packing lists with matching purchase orders and forward to Shipping and Receiving Manager.
  • Inspect and test all incoming stock items per QMS instructions.
  • Stop work and notify supervisor if a quality issue, nonconformance, or unsafe condition is identified.
  • Write NCMRs on rejected material and submit to Quality Control Engineer.

A successful privately held company with extensive manufacturing capabilities and sales presence throughout the world since 1958. Company is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to help manage our ISO-9001 Quality Management System.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
  • Responsible for signing all incoming materials.
  • Packing lists should be reviewed for accuracy.
  • File electronically all materials certifications per new ERP system demands
  • Stock items should be reviewed for any inspectional requirements before storing. Dimensional and pertinent inspectional notes are listed in ERP system for each item.
  • Packing lists to be paired with matching purchase orders and forward to Shipping and Receiving Manager
  • Inspect and test all incoming stock items per instructions per our QMS system.
  • Has the responsibility and authority to stop work and notify a supervisor if a quality issue, nonconformance, or unsafe condition is identified that could affect product quality or safety.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Properly store inventory in allocated racks and bins, ensuring items are properly packaged to guard against damage.
  • Write NCMR’s on rejected material and submit it to Quality Control Engineer.
PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Knowledge in: Blueprint Reading; Geometric Tolerances; and Measuring Instruments.
