Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop and implement methods for process control and testing to ensure defect-free products. You will design and install testing equipment, analyze defect data, and collaborate with suppliers to drive quality improvements.

The role requires an Associate’s degree with 2–4 years of experience (or equivalent) and proficiency in Microsoft Office; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and 2-4 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Establishes quality standards for products and processes and suggests modifications to prevent defects.
• Audits production processes, raw materials, and suppliers to ensure standards.
• Conducts root cause analysis for defects and quality failures.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate quality risks.
• May ensure compliance with external standards such as ISO 9001.
