Job summary

SQA Services in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Quality Inspector Level 2 for a 2-month contract, supporting first and second shifts. This role focuses on detailed visual inspections of mechanical products and requires strong GD&T knowledge and tool proficiency.

You will work with borescopes and precision measurement devices, with training provided for XRF identification and the WARP ERP system. A background check and ITAR compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry standards.
• Hands on experience with borescopes.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections—visual skills (identifying FOD, damage, burrs, and similar defects).
• Proficiency with standard precision measurement tools: Borescope, calipers, pin gages, micrometers, digital thickness gauges, comparators, eye loupes, and feeler gauges.
• Basic drawing/blueprint interpretation (material specs, parts lists, dimensions, notes).
• Maintain GD&T knowledge and apply it to inspections.
• Learn and navigate XRF material ID techniques (training provided).
• Learn and use the WARP ERP system (training provided).
• Sustain 100% inspection accuracy on high daily throughput.
