Job summary

The Hillman Group in Minnesota is seeking a Quality Inspector II to inspect incoming materials, parts and packaged goods, document variances, and assist with the disposition of non-conforming material. The role includes in-process inspections and testing to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality requirements.

You will assist leadership with the development and implementation of a Supplier Quality Assurance program and help ensure capable processes through statistical analysis.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and perform basic math.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness and initiative to maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex visual and dimensional inspections on incoming and first article inspections as well as in-process inspections.
• Performs visual and barcode verification on incoming goods and in-process labeling.
• Enters data on control charts and documents variances; notifies Lead if data fail to meet limits.
• Maintains inspection records, drawings and procedures; generates non-conforming material reports.
• Operates inspection tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauge blocks, etc.).
• Maintains accuracy and records; supports safety programs and equipment integrity.
