Job summary

Hillphoenix seeks an Inspector to examine in-process and receiving variations against drawings and specifications using visual inspection and measurement tools. You will verify dimensional conformance, document approvals and rejections, and help maintain quality records.

You will work with calipers, micrometers, hardness tester, and other gauges, participate in 6S in the shop, and support safe, efficient manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and one year tech school or two years of experience related inspection field.
• Visual inspection of products to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Proficient with Office suite and creating/maintaining inspection records.

Responsibilities

• Visually examines products and surfaces to detect defects such as mismatches, dents, blemishes and defects.
• Verifies conformance to dimensional specifications and determines causes of deficiencies.
• Records quantity or material approved and rejected on inspection reports.
• Operates tools such as calibers, micrometers, hardness tester, comparator, surface plate, height gauge, spectro photometer, torque gauges, ohmmeters.
• May drive a forklift.
• Participates in 6S duties to maintain safe, organized work areas.
• Uses charts, tables, drawings, specification schedules, or diagrams.
