Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Quality Inspector II for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri) in Tampa, FL.

You will ensure quality product and batch records, perform in-process inspections, and maintain GMP/GxP compliance while collaborating with Manufacturing, QA and other departments. The role requires following SOPs, accurate documentation, and attention to detail in a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• Quality control/assurance experience preferred (not required).
• Ability to work well with people and independently.
• Follow written and verbal instructions; read and understand SOPs.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail are critical.
• Maintain QC, line clearance and visual inspection certifications; work independently with little supervision.
• 3+ years of pharmaceutical/FDA regulated facility or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Follows SOPs and reviews batch records for GMP compliance and accuracy.
• Conducts in-process inspections and proper documentation practices.
• Identifies suspect material and follows segregation procedures.
• Checks batch documents for product, lot, expiration dates, and components; performs on-line reviews.
• Performs AQL sampling and documents inspection results in batch records.
• Performs line clearance duties and shift-change verifications.
• Pulls in-process samples and delivers as required.
• Interacts with Materials Management, Contract Manufacturing, Engineering and Validation; assists with protocols and studies.
• Alerts departments to potential nonconformances and assists with investigations.
• Supports batch record reviews and closure with manufacturing; records accountability and yield calculations.
• Completes required documentation and works with Manufacturing to resolve issues before QA release.
• Assists with quality issue investigations and documentation as needed.
• Supports standardization and quality metrics; participates in manufacturing schedules and changes.
