Job summary

Tecomet is seeking an entry-level Quality Inspector I to perform basic inspections on incoming materials, in-process products and finished goods. You will record data, identify non-conformances, and support production teams to uphold regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong math skills to work with fractions and decimals in imperial and metric units.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products.
• Maintain a positive and professional presence while representing quality assurance with production teams.
• Verify conformance to specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Document inspection results and any defects / non-conformances detected.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics at a basic level.
• Follow company procedures to perform routine quality checks.
• Maintain inspection records and files for traceability and compliance.
• Ensure that inspection equipment is calibrated and properly maintained before use.
• Assist with the identification of non-conforming products and initiate corrective actions under supervision.
• Work with production teams to identify potential areas for improvement and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in routine training to develop knowledge of quality systems and inspection techniques.
