Elbit Systems of America, LLC seeks a detail-oriented QA Inspector to join our aerospace quality team in Boca Raton, FL. You will read drawings, verify dimensions, and ensure proper inspection of parts and assemblies against documentation.

Responsibilities include using precision tools, maintaining records, and assisting the Quality Manager with calibration and process improvements in a Defense industry environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required.
• 1–3 years’ experience in QA inspections in Aerospace Industry or Machine Shop environment.
• Defense Industry experience required.

Aufgaben

• Use instruments and gages properly, ensuring care, maintenance, and accuracy.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings with respect to dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Check first piece/setup when directed by the Quality Manager.
• Assist the Quality Manager in maintaining inspection records and file system, as defined by quality procedures.
• Recommend to manager changes to improve quality (e.g., methods and tooling).
• Maintain a neat, clean, and FOD-free workplace.
• Inspect parts, subassemblies, and completed assemblies; verify documentation and route material to next operation or reject material and prepare a rejection report.
• Assist the Quality Manager in gage control, ensuring inspection equipment is calibrated and in working condition.
• Attend training and other related events as directed by the Quality Manager.
• Perform additional duties and functions as directed by the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Uses instruments and gages properly, ensures proper care, maintenance, and accuracy. Hand tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, linear scales), Gages (e.g., pins, thread, custom gages), Optical tools (e.g., comparators, profiles, microscopes). Electronic measuring equipment (e.g., CMM, Profilometer, Elcometer – Coating Thickness).


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with respect to dimensioning and tolerancing.


• Checks first piece/set-up when directed by the Quality Manager.


• Assists the Quality Manager in maintaining inspection records and file system, as defined by the quality procedures.


• Recommends to her/his manager changes to improve quality (v. gr., methods and tooling).


• Maintains a neat, clean, and FOD-free workplace.


• Inspects parts, subassemblies, and completed assemblies. Verifies correctness of documentation and routes material to the next operation or rejects material and prepares a rejection report.


• Assists the Quality Manager in gage control, ensuring that all inspection equipment is calibrated and in working condition.

Education, Experience, License, or Certification:

• High school diploma required.


• One to three years’ experience in QA Inspections- Aerospace Industry or Machine Shop environment./


• Defense Industry experience required.
