Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles is seeking a Quality Inspector II to join our manufacturing QA team in Augusta, GA. You will audit product for defects, maintain QA data in the TQM system, and support monthly yard audits, ensuring quality standards across our plant.

Responsibilities include escalating issues, assisting in containment of safety and quality problems, and performing rework to meet specifications. You will train new inspectors and contribute to a culture of inclusion and quality.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or ACT WorkKeys Bronze level or higher.
• Years of Experience: 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, MES preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit product that is presented to Quality for acceptance for defects pertaining to cosmetics, safety, part presence, and operation.
• Maintain audit check sheets in QA database and ensure data is correct in the Total Quality Management (TQM) software.
• Audit internal processes and work instructions as required.
• Support completion of monthly yard audits.
• Escalate quality issues and non-conforming conditions to the responsible internal parties.
• Assist in investigation and containment when safety and quality issues are found.
• Perform rework to vehicles on quality hold in order to meet engineering specification and follow containment procedure, as required.
• Assist in the validation of Quality Gates and Control plans, as required.
• Facilitate on the job training (OJT) for new inspectors with standardized inspection plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
