Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is seeking a Quality Eng I to develop and maintain inspection quality standards and support continuous improvement across manufacturing and supply chain. The role includes field audits, vendor evaluations, and CAPA coordination to minimize defects and maximize reliability.

You will interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and participate in cross-functional teams to drive process capability. A Bachelor's in Engineering and hands-on quality experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
  • GD&T understanding preferred.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Execute activities to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for inspection processes.
  • Conduct field audits and vendor evaluations and investigate issues.
  • Maintain standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Monitor and improve key supply chain KPIs (PPM, line disruptions, NCMT).
  • Coordinate CAPA implementation across cross-functional teams.
  • Provide technical support to departments, vendors, and customers.

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles,
snowmobiles, side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. Textron Specialized Vehicles markets products under several different brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves.

Responsibilities
  • Execute activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for inspection processes
  • Conduct field audits and vendor evaluations and investigate manufacturing or field issues as needed.
  • Maintain implemented standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Maintain quality assurance objectives to maximize product reliability and minimize defects, field failures, scrap, and rework.
  • Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI’s including parts per million (PPM), line disruptions and days to
    close non-conforming material tickets (NCMT).
  • Facilitate the deployment of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in response to quality issues as well as customer
    complaints through the coordination of cross-functional teams.
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and
    concrete variables.
  • Seek and recommend ways to improve product and process capability based on company metrics.
  • Provide technical support and information to other departments, vendors and customers as requested based on data
    collected from company metrics, vendor metrics and inspection data.
  • Be a resource to a small team of Quality Inspectors for assigned area to ensure processes are followed and production is
    supported, as needed.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required, 10 or more years of technical experience in
  • lieu of degree
  • Years of Experience: 0-2 years with degree, 10 or more years of relevant, technical experience without degree
  • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office Applications, CAD, ERP/MRP preferred
  • Able to read part/assembly blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
