Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a global manufacturer of golf cars and other vehicles, seeking a quality inspector to audit products and processes for defects.

You will maintain QA records, assist in containment, and support training of new inspectors on standardized plans, contributing to safe, compliant production. The role requires 4 years in manufacturing, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP and MES are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and ACT WorkKeys Bronze level or higher.
• 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP and MES preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit product presented to Quality for defects in cosmetics, safety, parts, and operation.
• Maintain QA audit sheets and ensure TQM data accuracy.
• Audit internal processes and work instructions as required.
• Support monthly yard audits.
• Escalate quality issues to responsible internal parties.
• Assist in investigation and containment when safety and quality issues are found.
• Perform rework on vehicles on quality hold to meet specs.
• Assist in validation of Quality Gates and Control plans as required.
• Facilitate on the job training for new inspectors with standardized inspection plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Contribute to a culture of respect, dignity and inclusion.

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles, side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. Textron Specialized Vehicles markets products under several different brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves.

Responsibilities

• Audit product that is presented to Quality for acceptance for defects pertaining to cosmetics, safety, part presence, and operation.
• Maintain audit check sheets in QA database and ensure data is correct in the Total Quality Management (TQM) software.
• Audit internal processes and work instructions as required.
• Support completion of monthly yard audits.
• Escalate quality issues and non-conforming conditions to the responsible internal parties.
• Assist in investigation and containment when safety and quality issues are found.
• Perform rework to vehicles on quality hold in order to meet engineering specification and follow containment procedure, as required.
• Assist in the validation of Quality Gates and Control plans, as required.
• Facilitate on the job training (OJT) for new inspectors with standardized inspection plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
