Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector I to perform routine mechanical or visual inspections per provided technical documentation to determine product acceptability. The role emphasizes learning blueprint reading, GD&T, and platework under supervision, with on-site work and varied shift lengths.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, clear communication skills, and willingness to participate in 5S and other training. Overtime and cross-area assignments may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, both verbally and in written form.
• Expected to contribute in some areas of inspection for which training has been provided.
• Communicate effectively to supervision verbally and in written format regarding problems and training needed.
• Participate in some 5S workplace organizational activities and maintain work area in accordance with 5S standard.

Responsibilities

• Collect inspection data when asked and shown by inspectors or supervision.
• Ability to learn blueprint reading, GD&T, and platework from experienced inspectors and/or supervision and on the job.
• Regular on-site attendance/punctuality is a necessary function of this position.
• May be required to work in other functional areas and/or facilities depending on business needs.
• May be required to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
