Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect in-process and receiving parts, verify conformance to drawings, and record approvals or rejections in inspection reports.

The role uses calipers, micrometers, and other gauges, may require forklift operation, and follows 6S and safety procedures in a manufacturing setting. A high school diploma or tech training is required, with basic computer skills and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or tech school training required.
• One year related inspection experience or two years in manufacturing.
• Solid computer skills: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Visually examine product surfaces for defects and conformance to drawings.
• Verify dimensional specifications and determine causes of deficiencies.
• Record quantities approved or rejected on inspection reports.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to aid inspection.
• May be required to drive a forklift.
• Cross-train teammates and support production as needed.
• Participate in 6S duties to keep work areas safe and organized.
