Qualifications

  • Ability to read and understand customer specifications.
  • Ability to read and understand aerospace drawings for plastic parts.
  • Inspect molded parts using conventional inspection tools.
  • Understanding of GD&T.
  • Understanding of AS9102 FAIR.
  • Detail oriented with aerospace QA background.
  • Strong communication, reading, reporting, and MS Office skills.
  • PC-DMIS experience with/without CAD models preferred.
  • Training/experience with Internal Quality Auditing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the company’s Quality Management System and promote compliance.
  • Inspect real-time at the machine to verify product conformance.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications for part verification.
  • Perform first part buy-off and in-process inspections; final inspection and document review.
  • Document non-conformances for MRB in ERP system; control documents.
  • Assist with internal quality audits and continual improvement.
  • Develop inspection procedures, setups, and deviation reporting.
  • Support less experienced staff as needed.
