Job summary

Prototek is seeking a Quality Inspector I to join a fast-paced manufacturing team where quality is the priority. You will perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet customer specifications and will generate inspection reports.

You will inspect using hand tools, CMM, and optical comparators, generate Certificates of Conformance, and support FAI documentation to meet certification requirements. We offer extensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Blueprint reading and basic GD&T knowledge (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Inspect parts to print using hand tools, CMM, and optical comparators.
• Generate inspection reports and Certificates of Conformance.
• Support FAI documentation and customer certification requirements.
• Route parts through secondary processes and ensure on-time flow to shipping.
• Communicate quality issues and status updates with internal teams.
• Follow ISO/AS procedures and contribute to continuous improvement.
