Job summary

The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. seeks a Quality Inspector I in Seattle to verify part acceptability and ensure product quality for Government, Military and commercial lines.

Candidates should have 2+ years of inspection experience, strong attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with measuring tools. Responsibilities include multiple inspection stages, documentation, calibration, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and determine acceptability of Government, Military, Commercial products, other parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Performs receiving, first part, in-process, first article and final inspections.
  • Understands customer requirements and assures compliance to standards.
  • Ability to perform Quality Product Testing.
  • Performs calibration/validation for inspection equipment.
  • Maintains required documentation to assure process control.
  • Assists Set-up Specialists and others in corrective action on non-conforming parts or process controls to assure conformance on future jobs.
  • Assist in detecting problems and confer with lead or supervisor to resolve.
  • Ensures the adherence to company safety and health standards, policies and procedures by monitoring personnel, machinery and work environment.
  • Immediately notify supervisor and/or Safety Manager of any safety and health concerns and problems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
