Job summary

Rush-Enterprises is seeking a Quality Inspector I to support the release and shipment of conforming, custom-built commercial trucks. The role conducts visual, mechanical, electrical inspections and system tests per QC protocols.

It ensures thorough documentation and quick defect resolution while maintaining safety and quality standards. The position requires at least 1 year in a related field, with strong reading of build specs and instruction sheets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a commercial vehicle service, manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
• Experience reading build specifications, work instructions, and basic schematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections and functional tests.
• Produce thorough inspection reports and documentation as evidence.
• Communicate with team to resolve defects and ensure customer service quality.
• Identify non-conforming products and materials per policy.
• Review quality information such as alerts, deviations, recalls, and complete daily documentation when applicable.
