Job summary

Custom Vehicle Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector I to support release and shipment of conforming custom-built commercial trucks in line with quality control protocols. You will perform visual, mechanical, electrical inspections and system tests to verify compliance.

The role involves generating inspection reports, communicating with the team to resolve defects, and ensuring proper documentation. Minimum 5 years in related vehicle build or inspection environments is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience building or inspecting commercial vehicle up fits, or similar manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-process and final inspections of aftermarket equipment installations; tests installed products.
• Produces thorough and accurate inspection reports with documentation as evidence.
• Maintains clear communication to resolve defects and ensure customer service.
• Detects and identifies non-conforming products/materials per policy.
• Reads quality-related information and updates daily inspection documentation as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-process and final inspections of aftermarket equipment installations; then performs functional tests for installed products as required.
• Produces thorough and accurate inspection reports, ensuring satisfactory documentation as evidence.
• Provides a consistent line of communication to the team to help ensure prompt resolution of defects and a high level of customer service.
• Detects, and properly identifies, non-conforming products and materials, according to company policy.
• Reads and comprehends quality related information such as Quality Alerts, deviations and recalls, etc.; where applicable, add daily inspection documentation.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with building or inspecting commercial vehicle up fits, or similar manufacturing or fabrication shop environment required.
