Job summary

NOW Foods in Sparks, NV is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Inspector I for the 3rd shift to help ensure product quality across incoming materials, in-process testing, and packaging.

The role requires GMP/SOP adherence, accurate documentation, and good communication. Responsibilities include evaluating raw materials, reviewing COA/COC, sampling, releasing materials that meet specs, and assisting with investigations as needed.

High school diploma and 0–2 years inspection experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 0–2 years inspection experience.
• Familiarity with inspection procedures and basic computer skills.
• Experience in quality department preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs raw material evaluation on all incoming shipments and samples representative lots.
• Completes necessary documentation and Oracle entries.
• Reviews COC/COA and material documentation as needed.
• Reviews documentation for completeness and GMP/SOP compliance during processing/packaging.
• Performs random in-process testing to verify operator results and releases materials that meet specs.
• Communicates problems and out-of-spec issues to supervisor/lead and operations personnel; assists investigations.
• Performs AQL inspections on bulk or packaged product as needed.
• Follows safety and GMP requirements.
