Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an entry-level Quality Inspector (Support 1) to perform in-process and final product quality analyses in compliance with standards. The role supports production by interpreting results and monitoring quality against specs.

You will identify ongoing quality issues, propose improvements, and use measuring devices, blueprints, and inspection instructions to accept or reject products. Training is provided.

Responsible for in-process and final product quality analyses/inspection in compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

Interprets and evaluates the analyses in terms of accuracy and precision compared against established specifications.

Identifies on-going quality issues, prevents potential production issues, and makes suggestions for improvement.

Uses various measuring devices, testing equipment, predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to accept or reject products.

May work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.

A Support 1 is an entry-level position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience. Responsibilities typically include: Work is routine or follows standard procedures. Work is closely supervised. Communicates information that requires little explanation or interpretation.

Pay Range: USD 20.69 - 25.68 Hourly.

This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan. This position is eligible to earn commissions based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable commissions plan.
