Job summary

Wilsonart in Temple, Texas is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join the Cut-To-Size department. You will receive daily orders, verify specs, and inspect laminates for size, pattern, and finish, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

The role is a day shift from 7am to 5pm, including weekends, with training and safety guidelines provided. Candidates should have at least 1 year in distribution or manufacturing and basic measurement skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in distribution or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of basic measurement tools and tape measures.
• Ability to read and follow directions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily orders for the shift and process them as directed by the Team Lead.
• Inspect laminates for size, pattern, finish, and defects according to ISO4586/NEMA standards.
• Set up workstations for inspection and packing per instruction.
• Enter rejected laminates information into the system and report shortages to pullers.
• Complete area cleaning and maintain safe work practices by end of shift.

Wilsonart in Temple, Texas has openings as Quality Inspectors. These individuals will work in the Cut‑To‑Size department as a Quality Inspector. Inspectors receive orders for the day, checking product for any discrepancies and perform other tasks as needed. These positions require working a day shift 7am – 5pm, including weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Start shift by checking power industrial trucks (PIT)
• Receive all orders for the day
• Work orders by Team Lead’s instruction and ship dates
• Check orders against storage list
• Set up workstation for saw inspection and/or full‑size pack
• Work with material pulled against order
• Scan order barcode into R12 to verify packing instructions
• Verify size, pattern, type, and finish
• Check each sheet for breaks or rejects
• Place tags with saw cut info
• Place laminate that passed inspection onto designated table(s)
• Place rejected laminate onto designated table(s)
• Enter rejected laminate information into system
• Turn in productivity sheet to Team Lead
• Turn in shortages to pullers
• Complete assigned area cleaning by end of shift
• Use properly sized pallets and other packing materials
• Follow customer packing instructions and band material properly
• Inspect to Wilsonart’s quality standards
• Inspect to ISO4586 NEMA quality standards
• Follow department and facility safety standards
• Use laminate pattern codes, cores, finishes, etc.
• Be trained and signed off on PIT equipment
• Flip laminate without causing breakages
• Use basic computer skills, read tape measure, and use micrometer

• Knowledge of products and their manufacturing processes
• Ability to understand and follow directions

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ years – one year experience working in distribution and/or manufacturing

Physical Requirements

Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, pushing, climbing, and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50lbs).

Environment

Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights.
