Wilsonart in Temple, Texas has an opening for a Packer. This role supports inspecting laminate, setting up tables, pallets and skids for inspection in the night crew. Under supervision of the Team Lead, you will perform required tasks to keep production moving and maintain safety standards.

The position requires basic computer skills and at least one year of work experience. The work environment is indoors with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature variations.

Job Description:

Wilsonart in Temple, Texas has an opening for a Packer

Wilsonart, Temple, Texas Cut-To-Size department currently has an opening for a Packer. This person will assist with inspecting laminate, setting up tables, pallets and skids for inspection process. Under the direction of the Team Lead/Supervisor. Perform other tasks as required. This is for the night crew.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Flip laminate.
• Load and unload saws
• Band pallets
• Operate lifts
• Inspect laminate
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Set up tables, pallets and skids for inspection process
• Move inspected material to staging area for MJ saw
• Change saw blades when working on saws
• Basic computer skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure (to 16th).

Experience:

One year of work experience is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS

ENVIRONMENT: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
