Job summary

Modern Industries, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented inspector to support production operations. You will conduct hardness inspections, calibrate equipment, and report results with close supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Candidates will use micrometers, calipers, and gauges, maintain order in the inspection area, wear PPE, and follow the Quality Systems Manual. The role is hourly and non-exempt, with overtime as needed to ensure customer specifications are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience performing hardness inspections is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardness inspections on parts with close supervision.
• Calibrate and operate hardness testing equipment.
• Identify and report non-conforming parts to customer specifications.
• Conduct hardness inspections using all given scales.
• Use micrometers, calipers, and gauges as required.
• Maintain clean work areas and orderly storage of fixtures and gauges.
• Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
