Job summary

The Pivot Group Network seeks Quality Inspectors for Otsego, Michigan manufacturing partners. You will lead visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure conformance with product specifications and quality plans.

Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify measurements; document results, non-conformances, and investigation outcomes; and collaborate with production and engineering to implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, and maintain detailed inspection records.
• Initiate and participate in the investigation of non-conforming materials or products to determine root causes.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct in-process audits to ensure adherence to manufacturing processes and quality control plans.
• Assist in the development and revision of inspection procedures and quality standards.
