Job summary

Joby Aviation in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Inspector for electronics/PCBA, a temporary 3-6 month on-site role in Clear Lake. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electronic assemblies for VTOL aircraft, helping baseline design efforts and enabling production.

The ideal candidate has hands-on electronics inspection experience, familiarity with IPC-610 and J-STD-001, and ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with electronics manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of 3D AOI equipment and procedures.
• Understanding IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards - certification preferred.
• Understand traceability (product, material and calibration).
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• General use of Keyance, CMM, OMM, Faro Arm and Romer Arm.
• Experience with digital X-Ray inspections.
• Proficient with Polyworks.
• Ability to program a Coordinate Measuring Machine.
• Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection Requirement.
• Understanding basic statistical terms and techniques, how to plot data and how to recognize out-of-control conditions.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector Certificate

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspection on supplied Electronic / PCBA parts.
• Set-up and operate 3D Automated Optical Inspection machine.
• Insure compliance with engineering drawings, process specifications, and industry standards such as IPC-610.
• Use precision measuring instruments eg calipers and pin gauges for inspections.
• Document and relay nonconformance information following MRB process.
• Conduct first article inspection and generate first article inspection reports in compliance with SAE AS9102 (as required)

Joby Aviation is seeking a highly organized, passionate individual to join our Supply Chain team. As part of this team, you will perform incoming, in-process inspection and final inspection of Electronic Assemblies for VTOL electric aircraft. The inspection process will help baseline the company’s design efforts and pave the way for production. This is an onsite Temporary (3-6 months) Full-Time position in Clear Lake, Wisconsin.

Additional Information

The target base pay for this position is $23-31/hour. The compensation will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
