Qualifications

  • Solder fine pitch components (0402 required; 0201 and smaller bonus).
  • Rework traces on a PCBA.
  • Assemble board from Altium, schematics or instructions.
  • Test measurement equipment: DMM, oscilloscope, bench power supply.
  • Slack is used for team communication.

Responsibilities

  • Rework electronic assemblies, under direction of the designing engineer.
  • Soldering, harness making, rework, and PCB assembly.
  • Maintain shared resources and lab supplies such as wire, components, solder, flux etc.

We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.

Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced electronics technician to support our Battery and Powertrain engineers. You could be repairing our flight computers, ground systems controllers, or motors on any given day. Hand in glove you’ll be working with our engineering staff directly to build, debug and operate electronic systems unique to Joby.

A successful candidate communicates clearly and often, takes pride in their work, and is seeking to learn or invent techniques to get the job done to the highest quality. This is a temporary position (up to 18 weeks) with possible extension.

Responsibilities
  • Rework electronic assemblies, under direction of the designing engineer
  • Soldering, harness making, rework, and PCB assembly
  • Maintain shared resources and lab supplies such as wire, components, solder, flux etc.

Additional Information

This is a temporary role, anticipated to last up to 18 weeks. The target base pay for this position is $44-$55/hr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
