Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of inspection experience on electronic and mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with IPC J-STD-001 and ESD controls and solder inspection.
• Proficient with common inspection tools (microscopes, micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
• Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent; familiarity with MS Office.
• Willingness to participate in training and certifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in‑process and final inspection of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Conduct detailed visual inspection and solder joint evaluation.
• Verify SMT and through‑hole components and hardware for compliance.
• Measure dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gauges.
• Ensure work aligns with drawings, routings, and manufacturing instructions.
• Review travelers, routers, BOMs, and inspection checklists for accuracy.
• Maintain material traceability and audit‑ready records in the QMS.
• Identify nonconformances and generate NCRs in the ERP/QC system.
• Communicate defects and trends to Quality Engineering and Production.
• Verify special processes have been performed by qualified personnel.
• Maintain clean, organized, and FOD‑free inspection area.
