Job summary

Horton Emergency Vehicles is seeking a Full-Time Quality Inspector to ensure ambulances meet quality and safety standards before shipment. The role requires reading engineering drawings, performing electrical and cosmetic inspections, and documenting results with accuracy.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma and experience interpreting schematics, plus strong English communication and basic 12-volt electrical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must understand and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.
• Good PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Understand engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Inspection of finished ambulances to determine defects and conformance to applicable standards and regulations; perform electrical load and function testing, perform road tests.
• Must be able to perform both electrical and cosmetic inspections.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
• Must possess good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic 12-volt electrical systems.
