Job summary

Saint-Gobain Group in Orange, CT is seeking a Quality Inspector to verify measurements, form, fit, and function to blueprint specifications. The role ensures Good Documentation Practices across quality records and supports timely product flow through inspection and processing stages.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years in quality inspection, with experience using calipers, micrometers, and basic inspection tools; knowledge of blueprints is required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Quality Inspection Experience (2 to 4 years) strongly preferred.
• High attention to detail and consistency.
• Experience with basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers) and other inspection tools.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.
• Experience in a smaller production environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect manufactured product for dimensional consistency, workmanship and finish.
• Maintain the flow of product through inspection to meet due dates for outside processes and customer deliveries.
• Inspect incoming materials for conformance and review certifications; issue DMR or NCMR as needed.
• Perform in-process inspection and review certification packages for product and releases for shipment.
• File electronic data on server and maintain certification files in QA.
• Assist the lead Inspector and department manager as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.
