Job summary

King Machine LLC, a premier aerospace precision shop, seeks an experienced Quality Inspector to lead in-process and final inspections of light assemblies and machined parts. You will review drawings, perform precise measurements, and ensure conformance to AS9100 standards.

This role requires 5+ years in aerospace QA, experience with CMMs (PC-DMIS preferred), and the ability to document nonconformances and complete FAIRs. Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 4:30 PM finish options may apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Quality Inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and source documentation.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality management systems; experience with First Article Inspection (FAIR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on in-process and final inspection of light assemblies and detail parts.
• Perform first part and final inspection of machined parts.
• Conduct receiving inspection of supplier furnished material, product and services.
• Identify, segregate, and maintain records for nonconforming material.
• Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).

Salary $25-$32 /hour. DOE, low scale typically meets minimum requirements, high scale exceeds requirements and experience, may include advanced knowledge/certifications.

Primary responsibilities:

• Perform hands-on in-process and final inspection of light assemblies and detail parts in support of an AS9100 certified aerospace machine shop.
• First part and final inspection of machined parts.
• Receiving inspection of supplier furnished material, product and services.
• Identify, segregate, and maintain records for nonconforming material.
• Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's).

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of CMM inspection, prior experience with PC-DMIS is preferred.
• Strong understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform basic shop math and familiarity with Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances per ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to use standard inspection equipment, including micrometer, caliper, and height gage.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office. CAD skills are preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5+ years Quality Inspection or equivalent education and experience.
• Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Hardness and conductivity inspection is a plus.

Work Schedule; Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or we will consider: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
