Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs dimensional inspections on aerospace components to verify conformance with drawings and customer requirements.
  • Conducts First Article, in-process, and final inspections per AS9102 and customer standards.
  • Operates CMM and Laser Tracker systems for high-accuracy dimensional verification.
  • Develops, executes, and validates inspection programs using metrology software.
  • Interprets drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and customer specs.
  • Documents inspection results and quality records per AS9100 requirements.
  • Identifies and communicates quality issues with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve nonconformances.
  • Verifies calibration status of inspection equipment and handles metrology tools properly.
  • Supports root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions.

As a Quality Inspector, you play a key role in ensuring precision‑machined and fabricated aerospace components meet exacting engineering and customer standards. You help maintain production flow by conducting detailed dimensional inspections, validating metrology programs, and collaborating closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and uphold compliance with rigorous industry requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Performs dimensional inspections on precision‑machined and fabricated aerospace components to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Conducts First Article Inspections, in‑process inspections, and final inspections in accordance with AS9102 and applicable customer standards.
  • Operates portable Coordinate Measuring Machines and Laser Tracker systems to perform high‑accuracy dimensional verification of components, assemblies, and tooling.
  • Develops, executes, and validates inspection programs using metrology software to support production and quality needs.
  • Interprets engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5, customer specifications, and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Utilizes precision metrology instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and indicators.
  • Documents inspection results, nonconformance reports, and quality records accurately in accordance with AS9100 requirements.
  • Identifies and communicates quality issues while partnering with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve nonconformances.
  • Verifies calibration status of inspection equipment and maintains proper handling and care of metrology tools.
  • Supports root cause investigations and corrective or preventive actions when needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace machining and/or fabrication.
  • Hands‑on experience operating portable Coordinate Measuring Machines and Laser Tracker equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • This position operates in a warehouse, shop, and manufacturing environment.
