Job summary

King Machine, LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform hands-on in-process and final inspections of light assemblies and detail parts for an AS9100 certified aerospace machine shop.

Responsibilities include first part and final inspection, receiving inspection of supplier materials, and maintaining records for nonconforming items, with proficiency in CMM/PC-DMIS and reading engineering drawings. Minimum 5+ years in aerospace quality inspection is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Proficient in inspection of machined parts and assemblies.
• Experience with AS9100 procedures and FAIRs a plus.
• Strong reading of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Salary $25-$32 /hour. DOE, low scale typically meets minimum requirements, high scale exceeds requirements and experience, may include advanced knowledge/certifications.

Primary responsibilities:

• First part and final inspection of machined parts.
• Receiving inspection of supplier furnished material, product and services.
• Identify, segregate, and maintain records for nonconforming material.
• Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's).

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of CMM inspection, prior experience with PC-DMIS is preferred.
• Strong understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform basic shop math and familiarity with Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances per ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to use standard inspection equipment, including micrometer, caliper, and height gage.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office. CAD skills are preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5+ years Quality Inspection or equivalent education and experience.
• Previous experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Hardness and conductivity inspection is a plus.

Work Schedule;

Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or we will consider: Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
