Job summary

Worthington Enterprises is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform regulatory and internal testing of cylinders, read and analyze results, and complete required paperwork. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities include internal testing, burst and proof tests, titrations and calibrations, lab work, and learning to operate the real-time x-ray booth where applicable. Physical work and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of physical steel properties and cylinder processes.
• Strong mathematical and computer skills.
• Must understand and follow regulatory requirements.
• Able to stand for long periods and perform physical work.
• Ability to distinguish part numbers and sizes.
• Follows quality policy and procedures.
• X-ray interpretation skills where applicable.
• Able to use micrometers and calipers.
• 6-12 months of material handling experience or equivalent knowledge.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic.
• OSHA safety training and HazMat training provided.

Responsibilities

• Performs internal testing, internal checks, and cosmetic inspections.
• Performs burst, volumetric and proof tests on cylinders.
• Performs titrations and calibrations.
• Completes lab work and paperwork on all cylinder types.
• Learn to operate real time x-ray booth (where applicable).
• Prepare samples using band saw or plasma torch and prep bend test, macro sample and tensile specimens.
• Other duties as assigned.
