Job summary

Arcosa, Inc. is hiring a quality inspector to assist with daily quality, production, safety and on-time delivery expectations. You will perform VT/UT/MT inspections on structures, complete records, and help ensure conformance to standards and regulations.

A strong focus on safety and teamwork is essential. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience, familiarity with AWS D.1.1, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection.
• Experience with AWS D.1.1 welding standards.
• Ability to independently apply quality science concepts.
• Effective communication with customers.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with communication of daily expectations for Quality, Production, Safety and On Time Deliveries
• Ensure employees follow safety procedures; serve on safety committees and complete safety audits
• Ensure paperwork is completed on time and accurately
• Assist with calibration of tools following standards and work instructions
• Perform VT, UT, and MT inspections on utility structures
• Provide visual/measured inspections to ensure conformance with standards
• Complete inspection records and report following codes and regulations
• Make visual/measurement inspections of products to ensure requirements
• Inspect materials, outgoing materials, fittings, and welds
• Perform nondestructive examination to verify dimensions, strengths, etc.
• Complete inspection records and insert data accurately
• Participate in safety committees and other initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and protocols, serve on safety committees and complete regular safety audits

Ensure all paperwork is properly completed on time and accurately

Assist with calibration of tools following appropriate standards and work instructions

Perform VT, UT, and MT inspections on utility structures throughout the manufacturing process

Provide visual/measured inspections/tests of materials/products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if products meet all requirements.

Complete inspection records, and report and follow appropriate codes and regulations.

Inspect materials or plates, outgoing materials, fittings, and welds throughout the manufacturing process

Perform nondestructive examination to verify specified dimension, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment

Participate in safety committees and/or other initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

• CWI certification preferred, but not required
